There is nothing better than glazing some meat ready for grilling in summer! One of our favourites is a sticky BBQ sauce- perfect for ribs, wings or even chops!
Sticky BBQ Sauce:
1 cup of tomato ketchup (we like Heinz)
1 cup of apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
1/4 cup of runny honey
1/4 cup of dark soy sauce
2 x tablespoon of molasses
1 /2 tablespoon of English mustard powder
1 green chilli finely chopped (this gives the sauce a little kick, but feel free to omit if you don’t like it hot)
Add all ingredients to a heavy bottomed saucepan on a low heat and stir as it warms. Continue stirring as it gently simmers, don’t allow it to boil. Cook for around 10 minutes, continually stirring until it thickens and coats a wooden spoon. You can completely cool it and keep it in the fridge until you need it or do as we do and use it to coat your favourite pork meat – possibly a rack of delicious pork ribs or belly!
